Volunteers are needed to join the SHARE mountain bike club in

restoring the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park trail that suffered damage

from the recent rains. The morning restoration project will be held

from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the park, 20101 Laguna

Canyon Road. Tools, training and a free lunch will be provided by

SHARE and volunteers should bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, sturdy

shoes and water. Volunteers will meet at the park’s Interpretive

Center. Parking is provided in the gravel parking area just south of

the intersection of El Toro Road and Laguna Canyon Road. Information:

A free ‘Concert Americana’ in Laguna

The Laguna Community Concert Band will present “Concert

Americana,” a free concert featuring patriotic music, at 3 p.m. Feb.

13 at the Artists’ Theatre, 625 Park Ave. The American Legion Post

222 will open the program with the presentation of the colors and the

concert will feature music from a variety of musicians. Highlights of

the presentation include a musical Norman Rockwell Portrait and a

tribute to Emmy award-winning Hollywood producer Bob Henry. Bill

Nicholls and Ed Peterson will conduct the band in a concert of

traditional American songs and Andrew Lloyd Webber favorites.

Refreshments will be served and there will also be a raffle for
