Ninth-grader Michelle Y. Ha and 11th-grader Alexander S.B. Ha of

Newport Beach earned high honors at Phillips Exeter Academy for the

fall term. They are the daughter and son, respectively, of Dr. K. Ha

and Mrs. H. Moon. The academy, located in Exeter, N.H., is a

coeducational, independent, preparatory school where the diverse

student body comes from a wide variety of geographic, economic,

racial and religious backgrounds. ... Cristina Guccione, a 2000

graduate of Corona del Mar High School, recently graduated from

California State University, Sacramento, with a major in government

and a minor in communications. In Guccione’s third year of college,

she began working for the campaign of Rep. Dan Lungren (R -- Gold

River), eventually becoming the assistant campaign manager. Guccione

recently accepted a position to work in Rep. Lungren’s district

office in Sacramento as the constituent representative for veteran

affairs, the military and the IRS. Cristina is the daughter of Nancy

Christiano and L.D. Christiano. ... Eunice Monje of Newport Beach

celebrated her 90th birthday Saturday with her great niece Kiere

Johnson, also of Newport Beach, who celebrated her ninth birthday.

Friends and family of the ladies celebrated with them at a barbecue

in the Island View Mobile Home Park.
