Woodhouse named a ‘Super Lawyer’

Violet P. Woodhouse, a longtime Laguna Beach resident, has been named

a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2005 by Law & Politics

magazine.

Woodhouse, a trial attorney and author of “Divorce and Money: How

to Make the Best Financial Decisions During Divorce,” was in the top

5% of all lawyers in the region, as determined by a balloting system

among lawyers themselves.

“It is an honor to be recognized by such a prestigious and

respectable organization,” Woodhouse said. “This is an especially

gratifying distinction, as votes came from my esteemed peers.”

Woodhouse was a recipient of the National Leadership Award for her

dedication to the Republican Party, and has been honored with an

appointment to the National Republican Congressional Committee’s

Business Advisory Council.

She has been named one of the nation’s top 200 financial planners

by Worth magazine for several consecutive years.

She also is a media consultant and authority on the legal and

financial aspect of divorce.

To formulate their list of top lawyers, the editors of the

magazine sent more than 65,000 ballots to attorneys in Los Angeles

and Orange counties, asking them to vote for the best lawyers they

had personally observed.

Then a blue ribbon panel reviewed the lists top vote-getters in

their area of practice and assigned points to each attorney.

Those with the most points were placed on the list of Super

Lawyers, which was published in the February issue of Los Angeles
