The 16th annual Southern California Spring Garden Show welcomes

garden enthusiasts to view creative outdoor living spaces, dining

rooms and entertaining areas created by landscape architects,

designers and horticulture students. Purchase unique items from more

than 75 garden lifestyle vendors and hear top experts share their

garden secrets and debut their garden books. Children will enjoy

viewing the miniature landscapes designed by children, making crafts

and watching animal shows. The event is being held at South Coast

Helen LaKelly Hunt will lead a discussion on spirituality and

feminism. Hunt and her husband, Harville Hendrix, a former pastoral

counselor, have co-authored several books on building healthy

marriages. Helen is committed to bridging the gap between faith and

feminism. In Hunt’s new book, Faith and Feminism: a Holy Alliance,

she examines the lives of five women who exhibited their faith and

strength throughout their incredible lives: Emily Dickinson, Teresa

of Avila, Sojourner Truth, Lucretia Mott and Dorothy Day. The

discussion will begin at 1 p.m. at Newport-Mesa Christian Center,

Parkinson’s Resource Organization will host Rachel Roseman of

Mylan-Bertek who will be presenting information on the new drug

Apokyn. Elizabeth Cochrane will lead a discussion on how one could

train a dog specific to their needs. The meeting will be held at 7

organization that benefits those living in poverty in Orange

County, is holding its 12th annual Wild and Crazy Taco Night
