The Huntington Beach Motivated Networkers, a group for business

The Rodgers Seniors’ Center will present Computers Made Easy, a

program offering computer access and instruction, at 1 p.m. at the

center, 1706 Orange Ave. The center will open the new computer lab,

made possible with funding from the Huntington Beach Council on

A Basic and Advanced Coastal Navigation course will be held by the

United States Coast Guard at 6 p.m. Thursdays at BoatsUS, 16390

Pacific Coast Highway. The basic class costs $65 and will consist of

seven two-hour sessions, ending May 12. The advanced class costs $85

and will consist of 12 two-hour sessions, ending June 16.

God at the Movies -- a movie screening and small-group discussion

SATURDAY

The Shipley Nature Center Tour will offer visitors a chance to

hear descriptions of the center’s planned restoration of native plant

habitat with the addition of water conservation gardens. The event

will begin at 10 a.m. Guests will meet at the front gate to the

Shipley Nature Center in Huntington Central Park. Parking will be

The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts Musical

Theater Guild will hold a designer clothing sale from 9 a.m. to 2

CIVIC GROUPS

Huntington Beach Police Department Senior Volunteer Program is

accepting applications for new members. Volunteers perform duties for

the department, such as citing illegally parked cars and taking down

illegally posted signs. Applicants must be 55 and older and live in

Huntington Beach. Interested applicants should contact the program

The SOS Investment Club meets regularly on the second Monday of

each month and is seeking new members interested in studying

Physically Handicapped provides disabled children and adults the
