ASHLEE

The beautiful marble tabby cat named Ashlee is only a year old and

has been diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas -- kneecaps that

pop out of place that will cause her to become lame.

Newport Beach resident and feline specialist Dr. Elaine

Wexler-Mitchell says Ashlee was probably born with bad knees, and the

best long-term treatment is to perform surgery on both legs.

Community Animal Network is seeking to raise the funds that are

necessary to pay for the surgery. If you wish to help, send your

checks to P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA 92658 and memo them for the

Ashlee fund.

We believe it would be best if she found a permanent home prior to

having her surgery. Ashlee will need a quiet and loving adult home.

The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal

organization linking people and pets through community action. See

other animals available for adoption at https://www.animalnetwork.org,

or stop by Russo’s pet store at Fashion Island between noon and 4

p.m. on weekends. Information: (949) 759-3646, or write to the

Community Animal Network at P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658.
