skills, sea-squirt crafts, licorice knots, signal flags, marine life,

The 8th annual Oceans of Orchids show and sale will be presented

Southern California’s first-ever “Wedding March on South Coast

Plaza” will be hosted by Brides and Modern Bride magazines.

Brides-to-be to are invited to experience a two-day luxury shopping

and informational extravaganza featuring appearances by bridal

industry superstars Preston Bailey, David Tutera, Mindy Weiss, and

others. The event will be held at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.

The Sierra Club is sponsoring a month-long backpack and camping

class beginning with classroom presentations on the 10 essentials,

proper clothing, equipment, food, conditioning and map reading. The

class also includes a seminar at REI in Santa Ana, tent basics,

wilderness ethics and safety, and finishe up with an all-day

conditioning hike and two backpacking trips. A meeting will be held

from 6:30-9:45 p.m. at the Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center,
