Pop Warner final signup Saturday

Huntington Beach Pop Warner Football will be conducting its final

signup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Edison High football

fields.

Football and cheer teams are available for boys and girls between

the ages of 5 and 15. There are no tryouts and everyone plays in

every game. Coaching positions are still available for those

interested.

Golden West water polo session set

Golden West Water Polo Club, a year-round competitive water polo

team, is running its summer session through Aug. 21.

The club is open to youth ages 7-14 and athletes must be able to

swim 25 yards.

The second session runs June 20-July 31. Practices will be held

from 5-7 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday at the Golden West College

Pool.

A third session will run from Aug. 1-Aug. 21, also from 5-7 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at Golden West College.

Summer hoops

at Marina High

The annual summer Youth Basketball Camp at Marina High will be

held this year from June 20-July 14 at the school gymnasium.

The camp is open daily from 8:30-10 a.m. and youth grades third

through eighth in the 2005/06 school year are eligible to attend. The

cost is $125 per camper.

The school also is hosting an Incoming Freshman Camp from June

20-July 21. The camp will run from noon-1:30 p.m. Monday though

Thursday each week. The cost is $150 per camper.

Oilers’ celebrate centennial Friday

The Huntington Beach High athletic department will host its

“Centennial Celebration of Athletics at Huntington Beach High School”

Friday at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.

A donation of $75 per person includes dinner and dancing, a slide

show, raffle and silent auction.

Invitation to the event is extended to anyone who has participated

or contributed to the school’s athletic history in any form, current

and former athletes, Girls Athletic Assn. Members, booster club

members, supporters and donors.

All donations are tax deductible and all proceeds from the event

go directly to the athletic department at the school.
