A memorial service for former Costa Mesa resident Susan Messenie

Hughes will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Pacific View Chapel.

Born in Portland, Ore., Ms. Hughes lived in Costa Mesa for 42

years, where she was a stock broker. She died June 6 of lung cancer.

She was 62.

Ms. Hughes is survived by her husband, Paul C. Hughes; her sons,

Michael Paul Messenie, Robert W. Hughes and Jon D. Hughes; her

daughter, Jennifer Hughes Adnams; her sister, Sarah Eide and eight

grandchildren.

A memorial service for former Costa Mesa resident Eileen Bradley

will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joachim Church in Costa

Mesa.

Born in Sheffield, England, Ms. Hughes lived in Costa Mesa for 40

years, where she was a homemaker.

Ms. Hughes moved to the United States with her husband.

She enjoyed watching old war movies and traveling with friends on

a senior bus to casinos.

Ms. Hughes died June 3 of complications of cancer. She was 84.

Ms. Hughes is survived by her daughter, Sadie Kelly; and her

grandsons, Richard and Robert Kelly.

The family asks that monetary donations be sent to St. Joachim

School.

Virginia ‘Gina’ Isbell

A memorial service for former Costa Mesa resident Virginia “Gina”

Isbell will be noon Monday at Pacific View Chapel.

Born in Los Angeles, Ms. Isbell lived in Costa Mesa for 50 years

and was a homemaker. She died June 8 of natural causes. She was 94

years old.

Ms. Isbell is survived by her daughters, Sharon Spalione, Pam

Anderson and Patti Crozat; six grandchildren and nine

great-grandchildren.
