OF TAX DOLLARS

Want to see your tax dollars at work? The Costa Mesa City Council

will hold a study session on the 2005-06 city budget at 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday in the council chambers, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa. The same

day, the Newport Beach City Council will talk dollars and cents

during a public hearing on the budget at the council meeting. That

starts at 7 p.m. at 3300 Newport Blvd., Newport Beach.

The Costa Mesa City Council will vote on adopting a $103.1-million

budget June 21.

IRVINE ACADEMY:

DANCE, DANCE DANCE

The Irvine Academy of Performing Arts, home of the West Coast

Dance Company, presents “On Stage 2005,” a dance revue featuring

jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop and more. Performers as young as 2 make up

the cast for the three-day event at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242

Campus Drive, UC Irvine.

Show times are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., and

THREE RINGS

Hoag Hospital has paired with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum &

Bailey Circus to offer blood donors two free tickets to the circus.

The circus giveaway blood drive is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Friday in Hoag’s Blood Donor Center on the second floor of the Hoag

Cancer Center.

Donors can schedule an appointment by calling (949) 764-5621, or

by walking in on the day of the blood drive.
