Registration for the 2005 Youth Flag Football, for boys and girls

ages 8 to 13. The program starts on Sept. 26 and ends on Dec. 3. This

program provides youth in the community the opportunity to

participate in a noncompetitive Flag Football league. Participants

will learn the basics of Flag Football, meet new friends and have

fun. Register in person Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the

Balearic Community Center, 1975 Balearic Drive, Costa Mesa.

“Votergate,” a documentary by producers Simon Ardizzone, Russell

Michaels and Robert Carrillo Cohen, will be shown from 7 to 9 p.m. at

the Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, 1259 Victoria St.,

Costa Mesa. “Votergate” resulted from cross-country travels by the

producers during 2004 and 2005. According to Open Voting Consortium,

the documentary is a record of elections, bewildered voters, activist

protests and attempts by corporate and government officials to cover

The Newport Beach Historical Society will show slides of the early

days in Newport and Balboa and will discuss plans for the upcoming

Newport Beach Centennial Heritage Days, with special guest speaker

awareness class” at 7 p.m. at the police department, 99 Fair Drive,

provide information on sexual assaults and to answer questions. The
