Ocean View, Huntington Valley teams reach finals

Little League teams from Ocean View and Huntington Valley will

represent Huntington Beach in the division finals of the 2005

District 62 Tournament of Champions.

Ocean View No. 1 advanced to the Majors Division title game by

winning the Area 1 bracket Monday at Mile Square Park in Fountain

Valley. Ocean View edged Huntington Valley No. 2, 4-3, in the area

final.

In the Majors Area 2 bracket final at Huntington Valley Little

League, Costa Mesa American No. 1 blanked rival Costa Mesa National

No. 1, 4-0, to earn a showdown with Ocean View.

In Minor A bracket finals played Monday, Fountain Valley No. 1

shaded Seaview No. 2, 5-4, in Area 1, and Costa Mesa National No. 1

trimmed Seaview No. 1, 4-3.

In the Minor B bracket finals also played Monday, Ocean View No. 1

emerged from the Area 1 bracket by defeating Robinwood No. 1, 5-1,

and Huntington Valley No. 1 came out of the Area 2 bracket by

defeating Seaview No. 1, 11-7.

The district championship games were played Wednesday and were

not available at press time.

Also on Monday, Westminster No. 2 beat Westminster No. 1, 9-5, to

win the district Senior Minor title.
