More than $82,000 was raised at the recent Arthritis Walk at the

Huntington Beach Pier. Organizers reported that the donations are

still coming in from the recent walk, which attracted more than 600

participants, many from Newport-Mesa.

Chaired by Chris Stoeri on behalf of the Orange County branch of

the Arthritis Foundation, the event’s proceeds will be earmarked for

the control and possible cure of the disease, specifically benefiting

O.C. patients.

May was National Arthritis Month and Stoeri said that as many as a

million O.C. citizens have arthritis.

For more information on how you can help, please call Lori

Contant, executive director of the Arthritis Foundation at (714)

Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage and his bride Alice Kim will

follow in the legendary footsteps of John Wayne and family in

establishing residence on the water of the main channel of the

Newport Harbor.

Cage reportedly paid more than $20 million for a major

contemporary estate in a quiet transaction that will provide the

talented actor sanctuary for his new family.

The pair was spotted shopping at South Coast Plaza recently,

visiting the Gucci and Bvlgari boutiques. Fear not, Cage -- who

reportedly earned in excess of $20 million each for two recent films,

“Windtalkers” and “Gone in 60 Seconds” -- will enjoy shopping at

South Coast Plaza (dubbed “The Ultimate Shopping Resort”) to furnish

his new residence, and fill his new closets.

In other celeb sightings, or rather anticipated sightings, Marie

Osmond -- America’s sweetheart in the ‘70s and ‘80s -- is planning a

visit to Disneyland on July 14 and 15 for a little meet and greet

with fans at the unveiling of Osmond’s Sleeping Beauty 50th

Anniversary Doll.

The figure will be the first in a series of three princess dolls

created by Osmond and officially released as part of Disneyland’s

50th Anniversary celebration. Osmond will be at the Disneyland Hotel.

For more information, call the hotel at (714) 778-6600 or
