Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schwarz of Corona del Mar announce the

engagement of their daughter Kristin Brett Schwarz of Brentwood to

Robert Todd Pelinka of Los Angeles.

The bride-elect graduated from Corona del Mar High School, Duke

University and UCLA Medical School and is now completing her

pediatric residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The future bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pelinka, of

Wheaton, Ill., graduated from Lake Forest High School, and the

University of Michigan -- where he double-majored in Business and

Law, and is now an sports agent.

An August wedding is planned in Corona del Mar.
