Here are some items the Planning Commission will consider Monday:

PERFORMING ARTS AGREEMENT

The Planning Commission will review a development agreement to

make su re the Orange County Performing Arts Center and South Coast

Repertory Theater have met their responsibilities.

The center made commitments that included creating a plan for a

theater and arts district, adding traffic improvements, and building

a new theater and concert hall, which are now under construction.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Staff members recommend that the commission determine the center

has followed the terms of the agreement.

GYM PERMIT

A gym would be opened on East 17th Street if the commission agrees

to allow fewer parking spaces than would normally be required. The

1,262-square-foot facility, called 20-Minute Workout, would offer

one-on-one sessions with a trainer by appointment between 6 a.m. and

6 p.m.

City code would require 13 parking spaces, while only five spaces

are now at the site.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Staff recommendation is that the commission approve the request,

because with a maximum of two trainers and two clients expected to

use the facility at one time, the five available parking spaces

should be sufficient.
