PATRICIA JEAN PENEWELL-THOMAS

A memorial service for Newport Beach resident Patricia

Penewell-Thomas is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joachim

Roman Catholic Church in Costa Mesa.

Mrs. Penewell-Thomas, born in Santa Ana, was the youngest of 10

siblings. She lived in Newport Beach for 45 years and was a longtime

member of the Newport Beach Country Club.

Mrs. Penewell-Thomas died July 24 at Hoag Memorial Hospital

Presbyterian from complications of emphysema. She was 75.

Mrs. Penewell-Thomas is survived by her husband of 21 years, Don

Thomas; her daughter, Gayle Stookey; her son, Robert Penewell; 10

grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
