Newport Beach resident Sandra Keedy recently joined...

Newport Beach resident Sandra Keedy recently joined the board of

directors of HomeAid Orange County. The nonprofit organization, based

in Irvine, builds and renovates shelters for the homeless.

Keedy is president and chief creative director for Hayes Martin

Associates Inc. Prior to her board appointment, Keedy contributed to

HomeAid by designing the group’s website and newsletter and by

providing marketing and public relations strategies for the

organization.

Newport Beach resident Anthony V. Codianni, director of training

and dealer development for Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc.,

received a “Stevie” award in the category of best sales trainer in

the 2005 American Business Awards program. The American Business

Awards is the first national business awards program honoring great

performances in the workplace. Codianni accepted the award during a

ceremony held June 6 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Codianni was recognized for his innovative “Special Weekly

Acquisition Training” program, designed to train new Toshiba dealers

on Toshiba’s product line.

Newport Beach resident Cristina M. Barbatti was named to the

dean’s list at Boston University for the spring semester.

Lindsey Kearney-Begg of Corona del Mar was named to the dean’s

list at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn. To make the dean’s

list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Kearney-Begg double-majored in English and religious studies and

was also an active youth leader in her church and a student mentor

for the city of Bridgeport, Conn. She is planning a career in church

ministry, although she also may continue her studies in London,

England.
