Police identify woman killed on freeway

Costa Mesa Police released the name of the woman killed on the San

Diego (405) Freeway when she jumped out the window of a moving

limousine and was struck by multiple vehicles.

Jessica Lynne Rowe, 25, of Irvine, was killed in an apparent

suicide early Wednesday, police said.

Orange County Coroners officials late Thursday said they had

identified the victim but would not confirm her name. She was

identified by her fingerprints, said Orange County Sheriff’s

Department spokesman Jon Fleishman.

The Hummer limo was traveling southbound on the 405 between the

Harbor Boulevard and Fairview Road exits shortly after 5 a.m.

Wednesday when the woman was killed, police said.

Rowe and five friends were returning to Irvine after attending

parties in Orange County and Los Angeles; according to police, the

group had been drinking.

The incident backed up traffic for miles in both directions,

disrupting the morning commute of thousands of people.

off at the bottom, police said.

No other cars were involved in the accident, and no one was
