EDUCATION

The Daily Pilot is looking for students to participate in a

back-to-school feature, in which 10 Newport-Mesa kids, two from each

of the four public high schools -- Corona del Mar, Newport Harbor,

Costa Mesa and Estancia -- and two from Sage Hill School, will get

free SAT training. To take part in the feature, e-mail an essay about

yourself and your academic achievements to

o7dailypilot@latimes.comf7. The deadline is Friday.

Students chosen for the feature will need to sign a parental

consent form, and they must provide their most recent GPA and a copy

of their SAT scores from May or June. In exchange for the free

tutoring, we will ask the 10 participants to agree to be interviewed

for a front-page story and to write weekly reports about their

experiences.
