Harbor View prevails

Katie Craig was a part of four winning events and the Harbor View

swim team finished first at the South Coast swimming finals Aug. 6 at

Corona del Mar High.

Craig claimed the butterfly, backstroke, 50-yard freestyle and was

part of the winning medley relay team -- all in the girls (ages 7-8)

division -- as Harbor View racked up 1885.40 points.

Newport Hills finished second with 1407.50, while Green Valley was

third with 1265.50; Lake Forest II was fourth with 1174.50;

Greenbrook was fifth with 714.50; and Pacific Sands was sixth with

651.50.

Hoyt Crance won the boys (ages 7-8) 25 free and 25 butterfly for

Harbor View, while brothers Justin and Timmy Hanson won two events

apiece in the same division for Harbor View.

In the girls (ages 9-10) division, Harbor View’s Delaney Pouch

claimed the 50 breaststroke and 100 individual medley.

For Newport Hills, Madeline Musselman took three individual events

in the girls (ages 5-6) division: the freestyle, backstroke and

butterfly.
