44th tennis tournament begins Aug. 27

The 44th annual Huntington Beach Open Tennis Tournament, one of the

oldest tournaments in the county, will take place Saturday and

Sunday, and again on the weekend of Aug. 27.

Tournament play will take place in men’s and women’s singles and

doubles, mixed doubles, men’s open, open senior, and 3.5 through 5.0

divisions.

Tournament applications can be obtained at the Pacific Sands

Cabana Club, located at 8141 Atlanta Ave., in Huntington Beach, or by

visiting the website o7www.usta.comf7, tournament ID No. 651755005.

One dollar from each entry will be donated to the Glen Morton

Trust Fund. Morton, a local tennis pro, was seriously injured in a

car accident earlier this year.
