Bombers target Thunder early

The Bombers jumped out to a six-goal lead in the first period and

never let up in an 8-2 Howe Division victory over the Thunder at

Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Seven different players accounted for the scoring by the Bombers,

with two goals by Gene Jaeger and one each by Phillip Berman, Michael

Marchand, Nick Iacono, Aaron Baca-Chavez, Stephen Marchand and

Charley Rymer.

Michael Marchand had a hand in three assists, and Berman,

Baca-Chavez and Iacono each had one. Kenneth Nguyen had 13 saves in

the victory.

Alex Kemp and Brandon White each scored and Jared Novakovich had

an assist for Thunder. Jonathan Cao had 15 assists.

In other Howe Division action:

Hawks 8, Skynet 5

Matthew Williams scored three goals to lead the Hawks.

Ashley Woody and William Baltazar each scored twice, and Alex

McCabe scored once to round out the scoring by the Hawks.

Jacob Sabraw recorded two assists, and Baltazar, Woody and Matt

Jurado each added one.

Brad Giczewski finished with 17 saves for the Hawks.

Connor Lipscomb scored the first three goals for Skynet. Patrick

Lipscomb and Jordan Matsunaga each had a goal and assist, and Sam

Prizler and Garrick Langer each had an assist.

Dennis Maccarthy had 15 saves.
