Woman suffers serious injury in fall from cart

A woman remained hospitalized and unconscious this week after she

fell from a golf cart on the grounds of Circle View Elementary

Sunday, police said.

The woman and three men had been drinking at a swap meet before

the accident occurred, said Lt. Craig Junginger.

Police have not yet identified the woman.

The woman, believed to be in her mid-30s, fell out of the golf

cart when the driver made a sharp turn, Junginger said. She suffered

major head trauma and was hospitalized at UC Irvine Medical Center,

where she remained in critical condition late Tuesday, police said.
