CLARA GLADYS WIGHT

A memorial service for former Newport Beach resident Clara Wight

will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gold Quartz Inn in Sutter Creek,

Calif.

Born in Arizona, Mrs. Wight met her husband of 53 years at an arts

high school in Los Angeles. In 1959, the couple moved to Newport

Beach, where she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Wight was an avid volunteer and tennis player, and enjoyed

reading and playing bridge. She died Aug. 18 at the age of 86.

Mrs. Wight is survived by her daughter, Diane Tapia; her sons,

Tony Wight and Jeff Cook; and several grandchildren and

great-grandchildren.
