Gimps look strong in 7-3 victory

Jacob Gordon scored the final three goals for the Gimps and finished

with four in leading his team to a 7-3 victory over the Avalanche in

Patrick Division action.

The Gimps led the entire way in a postseason playoff match at

Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Chas Scott, Mike Moore Jr. and Tyler Estes also scored for the

Gimps. Scott, Moore, Drew Bertoni and Hunter Schmidt each picked up

an assist.

Damian Raburn scored the first and last goals for the Avalanche,

and Andrew Wade scored the other. Richard Killian had an assist and

Jacob St. Dennis recorded 38 saves.

In other Patrick Division playoff action:

Ranch Dressing 5, Wings 2

Matt Korn posted four goals to power Ranch Dressing past the Wings

in a first-round playoff match.

Travis Benson had the other Ranch Dressing goal, and Brandon

Drochner and Nick Evans each contributed an assist. Nicholas Jezulin

finished with 13 saves.

Kyle Betz and Andrew Eggert scored goals and Cooper Watson had an

assist for the Wings. Shaun Ellis had 20 saves.

The scored two goals in every period to get past the Cobras.

Aaron Nguyen and Elijah McHenry each scored twice to lead The.

Billy Borrmann and Jonathon French each scored once and French led

the team with three assists.

Chelsea Griffith also notched an assist.

For the Cobras, Brendan Fox, Sam Madrussan and Nathaniel Jones all

scored, and Madrussan, Jordan Bennett and Stephen Tockey each had an

assist.

Timothy Francis recorded 22 saves.
