Oasis rummage sale will be Sept. 30, Oct. 1
The Oasis Senior Center is hosting its annual fundraiser Sept. 30
and Oct. 1. Newport-Mesa residents are invited to stop by and check
out thousands of items at bargain prices.
For weeks, volunteers at the center have been collecting new and
used goods including books, toys, games, clothing, sporting
equipment, kitchenware and various household items. The sale is
scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 800 Marguerite Ave., Corona del
Mar. Admission is $3 on Friday and free on Saturday. For more

Avalon at Newport offers breakfast
Avalon at Newport, an assisted-living facility and Alzheimer’s
community, invites the public for breakfast at 8 a.m. Sept. 27. The
public is invited to join the staff and residents for coffee and
breakfast, to tour the community and see the apartments. Avalon at
Newport is at 393 Hospital Road in Newport Beach. For more

Costa Mesa center to conduct survey
The Costa Mesa Senior Center is in the process of working on a
strategic plan, which will guide the center into the future.
The center is reaching out to the community for volunteers to
participate in a survey. Anyone interested should call Laraine
