Burbank Adult School open house

The Burbank Adult School will hold its open house from 11 a.m. to

12:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 3811 Allen Ave.

Those attending will learn about the many classes and programs the

school has to offer, including adult basic education, high school

diploma and GED test preparation, English as a second language

classes, parent education, vocational training and personal

enrichment classes.

How to hold a successful sale

Learn how to pull in the money when you get rid of your old stuff.

The Burbank Adult School will offer a class on how to hold a

successful garage sale from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 3.

Participants will learn about the city of Burbank’s permit process

and garage sales rules, how to make effectives signs, what to sell

and how much to charge.

The fee for the class is $10.
