A memorial service for former Costa Mesa resident Genevieve White

will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Mortuary in

Costa Mesa.

Born in Ohio, Mrs. White lived in Costa Mesa for 20 years. She was

an electronic inspector. Mrs. White died Sept. 23 of natural causes.

She was 83.

Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Richard White; her sons,

Michael and Russell White; and her daughters, Lea Jackson and Donna

Cowell.

Ilse Guthoff

A memorial service for former Newport Beach resident Ilse Guthoff

will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Newport Harbor Lutheran Church.

Born in Germany, Mrs. Guthoff moved to California in 1953. She

trained as a pediatric nurse overseas and practiced her profession in

Redlands before moving to Newport Beach. An active member of Newport

Harbor Lutheran Church for 40 years, Mrs. Guthoff died Sept. 23. She

was 82.

Mrs. Guthoff is survived by her two brothers, Gerhard and Dieter

Mueller, and numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be

made to Newport Harbor Lutheran Church Music Ministry, the Salvation

Army or Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
