Jr. Midget Dolphins knock down Jets

Brian Denning passed for six touchdowns, and the Huntington Beach Jr.

Midget Dolphins picked up a big road win against the host Inglewood

Jets, 44-20, in Jr. All-American Football weekend action.

Kaller Roemer was on the receiving end of three of those touchdown

passes, and Joshua Hernandez, John Field and Preston Knowles each had

one touchdown.

Defensively, Nick Dallas and Knowles each had an interception, and

Nick Napoli came up with a big hit.

The Jr. Midget Dolphins return to action at 3 p.m. Saturday when

they host the Carson Colts at Huntington Beach High.

In other league action:

Jr. Pee Wee Division

Baldwin Hills 39, Orange Dolphins 6

Fullback Alex Alagata scored on a run in the second quarter, and

Donald Rice and Brandon Wooten also had strong games for host

Huntington, but the Baldwin Hills Bruins rolled to victory.

Huntington resumes play at 5 p.m. Saturday when they travel to

face the South Gate Rams.

Pee Wee Division

Cerritos 12, Dolphins 0

Huntington got some solid play from its defensive line, but its

offense couldn’t crack the scoreboard, and the team fell to the host

Steelers at Cerritos Park.

Huntington will play the Inglewood Jets at 5 p.m. Saturday at

Caroline Coleman Stadium in Inglewood.

Future League

Dolphins 21, South Orange County 13

C.J. Jackson sidestepped his way to a touchdown in the first

quarter, and host Huntington went on to down the Patriots.

Trevor Blake scored the Dolphins’ second touchdown, and Javier

Sanchez rushed for the third Huntington score.

Huntington travels Saturday for a 10 a.m. game against the

Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs Saints.

Clinic Division

Carson 27, Orange Dolphins 0

The Orange Dolphins put up a good fight but couldn’t overcome a

talented and quick Carson Colts team.

Huntington, 1-2, hosts the South Orange County Patriots at 9 a.m.

Saturday at Huntington Beach High.
