Dolphins pen up South Gate Rams in junior football
The Huntington Beach Dolphins gave up an early touchdown to South
Gate, then rolled to a 20-13 victory over the Rams in a Jr.
All-American Football game.
Tailback Damien Williamson scored the first Huntington touchdown
on a 55-yard run. Brandon Wooten executed a quarterback bootleg for
the second Dolphins touchdown, and Williamson completed the scoring
with a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
The blocking of Justin McCollum and Skyler Dubar and catches by
Ben Roth also aided the Dolphins offense. Dane Perkins and Anthony
Rodriguez played strong games on defense for Huntington.
The Dolphins take on the Orange Chiefs Saturday.

The Dolphins grabbed an early lead but couldn’t overcome the host
Jets in a close game at Coleman Stadium in Inglewood.
Keith Lakey scored on a run in the first quarter, and Josh
Gutierrez returned an interception for another touchdown for the
Dolphins.
Blake Walker kicked a two-point conversion, Jake Akerlind had an
interception, and Logan Surace, Nolan Beigel, Jake Dunneback, Dominic
Surace and Josh Bernstein each made several tackles in the Jets
backfield.
Huntington hosts the Carson Colts at Huntington Beach High
Saturday.

Despite strong play from Jake Austin, Anthony De La Torre, Cade
Siegriest, Gavin Pappagalo and Sean Welsh -- who made a game-saving
flag pull with 11 seconds remaining -- the Dolphins and Saints played
to a scoreless tie.
Huntington goes on the road Saturday to battle the Orange Chiefs.
