Huntington Beach picks up a 20-0 win over Fountain Valley in Jr. All-American Football game.The Huntington Beach Orange Dolphins found the road tough in Corona on Saturday, as the host Panthers pinned a 26-0 defeat on the locals in Jr. All-American Football Junior Pee Wee Division action.

An interception by Justin McCollum and a 35-yard run by Donald Rice were two highlights for Huntington.

Wide receivers Jonathan Goodheart and Skyler Dubar, as well as Bernardo Robles and Chad Wood, played strong games on offense for the Orange Dolphins.

Huntington hosts the Westminster Lions at 1 p.m. Saturday at Huntington Beach High in its final regular season game.

Huntington Beach 20, Fountain Valley 6

Quarterback Brandon Wooten accounted for two touchdowns, and Ben Roth rambled 40 yards for another score to lead Huntington past the visiting Jaguars.

Cody Crujido, Vincent Dugard, Nick Rommerdahl, Luke Sonne, and Austin Moffatt also made key contributions for the Orange Dolphins. Donald Rice recovered a fumble, and Justin McCollum turned away a scoring threat by the Jaguars by intercepting a pass.

Future League

Bellflower 21, Huntington Beach 0

In a battle between two unbeaten teams, the Broncos shut down the host Dolphins.

Huntington plays its final regular season game at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Huntington Beach High against the South Gate Rams.

Huntington Beach 20, Woodcrest 0

Huntington Beach went on the road and picked up an impressive win over the Generals. Trevor Blake scored a touchdown in the first quarter, and Nathan Mathews cemented the victory by scoring twice in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins’ defense, led by Dylan Palmer and Dylan Stratton, shut down the Generals.

Trevor Entwhistle and Garrett Thornburg helped protect the Dolphins backfield with strong play along the offensive line.

Clinic Division

Baldwin Hills 13, Huntington Beach 6

The Huntington Beach Orange Dolphins hung tough with Baldwin Hills but ended up suffering a close loss to the Bruins on the road.

The Dolphins’ only score of the day came from running back Matt Oakley.

Dustin Stewart had an interception and Michael Olive, Stone Escobedo and Nick Tricarico turned in strong defensive efforts for the Dolphins.

Huntington, 2-5, plays its final game of the season at 3 p.m. Saturday at Corona.

Huntington Beach 25, South Bay 0

Jordan Palomino got Huntington Beach off and running with a fumble return for a touchdown and also scored the ensuing extra point in the rout of the Packers.

Stone Escobedo scored the game’s second touchdown, which was followed by a 40-yard touchdown run by Dustin Stewart.

The Dolphins’ final touchdown came on a 70-yard scramble by Matt Oakley.
