Estancia, which finished the regular season 15-2, 12-0 in league, will be led in singles today by second-seeded Ellie Edles, a freshman.

Edles finished 32-1 this season with the lone loss coming at the hands of Ocean View’s Melissa Cecil, the top seed in the tournament.

The Estancia doubles team of seniors Sarah Muradian and Krizia Tonin are seeded first, while the duo of seniors Cathy Pittman and Sage O’Toole are the second seeds. Freshman Jenny Johnston and senior Susan Cloud are seeded fourth.

Following Muradian in singles is senior Heather Morton (No. 3 seed) and junior Sara Stratton (No. 5 seed).

“In my opinion, it’s pretty cut and dry who the top two in singles and doubles are,” Estancia Coach Rachel de los Santos said.

The doubles team of seniors Evelyn Wallace and Jasmine Mathieson (No. 4 seed) is the lone Costa Mesa entrant.

In other league playoff action, the Pacific Coast League, Sea View League and Academy League girls’ golf championships begin today.

The Sea Kings are 10-4, 7-3 in league heading into the two-day championships, which conclude Tuesday.
