Sweep keeps Pirates unbeaten

COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College women’s volleyball team remained undefeated by downing Fullerton, 30-19, 30-19, 30-12, Wednesday in an Orange Empire Conference match.

Kiwi Winkler had 14 kills and 10 digs, Samantha Connor tallied 11 kills and four blocks and Brittney Ray added 10 kills and 10 digs for the Pirates (16-0, 10-0 in conference).

Ashlee Moon led the defensive effort with 21 digs for Orange Coast.

IRVINE -- Anthony Hamilton had his second consecutive three-goal performance and had the game-winning assist in a Big West Conference game Wednesday.

Matt Murphy had three assists for UC Irvine (10-4-3, 6-1-1 in conference).
