Udvar-Hazy purchases Mountain Road parcels for $25 million, realtor says. Some fear for future of local gay community.Adding fuel to the fire of reports circulating over the sale of the Coast Inn and Boom Boom Room, sources now claim billionaire Steven Udvar-Hazy has also bought a house and liquor store across the street.

If this is the case, Udvar-Hazy would own every parcel on the 100 block of Mountain Road, which is considered by many the heart of Laguna’s gay community.

Udvar-Hazy, who was born in Budapest, made a fortune in the aircraft-leasing business. He is No. 125 on the Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans.
