Anteaters’ senior Vazquez lauded

vazquez UC Irvine women’s volleyball player Amanda Vazquez was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Assn.’s All-West Region first team.

Vazquez became only the third Anteaters player to made the regional first-team, following Kelly Wing and Popi Edwards.

The senior middle blocker was an All-Big West Conference first-team selection this season after compiling 409 kills, 21 solo blocks, 93 block assists and 34 service aces.

EVANS ADDS TO HONORS

UC Irvine men’s soccer player Brad Evans made the National Soccer Coaches Assn. of America’s All-Far West Region second team. The junior scored 11 goals and had four assists for the Anteaters this season. Evans, a forward, was the Big West Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year and an all-conference first-team selection.
