Concert by local teens to benefit cancer research. Laguna Beach teenagers are holding their second annual “Help For Hope Concert” from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Festival of the Arts Forum Theater. Money raised will benefit the City of Hope Medical Center’s research center.

Last March, the same group of middle school students held a successful concert, filling the Forum Theater and raising a significant amount of money for City of Hope’s Cancer research program. They were able to present the check to the center’s director and tour the facilities last June. The students have decided to make this concert an annual event.

Participating for the second year is Brianna Krantz, a sixth-grade vocalist from Thurston Middle School. Also returning is Jill’s Bedroom, consisting of eighth-graders Jake Johnson, lead guitarist; Andrew Levin, rhythm guitarist and lead singer; Tyler MacRae, bass guitar; Mike Rubel, keyboard; and Adam Selevan, drums.
