Mighty Ducks flex offense in 7-1 win
Three players net two goals apiece in Norris Division inline hockey game against Bruins.The Mighty Ducks had three players score multiple goals and Brandon Sizemore had 27 saves in a 7-1 victory over the Bruins in Norris Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Evan Gray, David Wellander and Austin Koss each posted two goals, and Austin Salisbury scored once.
Gray and Tyler Gealy each had an assist.
Mark Clifford scored an unassisted goal and Ethan Higbee had 28 saves for the Bruins.
In other Norris Division action:
Eagles 2, Diablos 1
Alexander Gomez scored a goal in the second period, and it turned out to be the game-winner for the Eagles, who shut out the Diablos over the final two periods of play.
Gomez’s goal, set up by an assist from Jonathan Pichedwatana, gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead.
Blake Walker scored the first goal for the Eagles, and Amanda Case finished with 25 saves.
Drew Truxaw scored in the first period for the Diablos and Travis Hunter had 23 saves.
Hornets 6, Slackers 2
Grayson Kassel and Matthew Manning each scored two goals to help get the Hornets past the Slackers.
Jack Clement and Kevin Kassel also scored, Grayson Kassel assisted three other goals and Nick Hoskins had 21 saves.
Patrick Baikie scored both goals for the Slackers, and Jesse Mellema had 22 saves.
In Patrick Division action:
Wings 4, Invaders 1
The Wings scored three goals in the third period to pull away from the Invaders.
Kyle Betz scored twice, Dmitri Sedykin and Jonathan Martin each scored once, Dean Neugebauer had three assists, Brandon Phillips had one assist and Shaun Ellis had 23 saves.
For the Invaders, Matt Korn scored and Corey DeMatteo had 23 saves.
