PHOTO OF THE WEEK ‘Team effort’

I managed to squeeze a few minutes between assignments to drive across town to get a photo of a house fire around midday.

Pulling up to the scene, fire trucks -- nine of them -- lined Europa Drive.

The fire was out when I arrived, and cleanup efforts were well underway. Water ran down the gutters and hose lines crisscrossed the street as men yelled and power tools buzzed. There were crews doing different jobs all over the house.

I liked the grouping of these firefighters as they knocked down hot spots from the neighboring house. It looked like a good team effort.
