Thanks for all the good buys

All good things must come to an end. After 14 years, this is my final column for the Daily Pilot. But before I go, I offer thanks.

What fun it has been writing Best Buys! I had the pleasure of checking out the latest fashions and home trends. I enjoyed attending store openings, and there was an array of exceptional customer services: computer technicians, carpet cleaners, manicurists, silversmiths, tailors and more.

Newport Beach and Costa Mesa have been an incredible territory to cover.

I’ve also been blessed with great readers and friends in the retail and restaurant business. For example, the wonderful support and constant attention from the ladies at South Coast Plaza, Beverly Morgan and Debra Gunn Downing, to the indefatigable Jane Gillespie, who also lives and breathes retail news for the Irvine Co.
