Preschool to hold fashion fundraiser

The Laguna Beach Presbyterian Church Preschool will hold a fundraiser from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Sunday, March 19 at the Surf and Sand Resort.

Auction items, raffle prizes and a fashion show are planned -- and a grand prize giveaway of a week-long stay at a Hawaiian North Shore home.

College of Art and Design opens doors

The Laguna College of Art and Design is inviting prospective students to attend an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 25.

Participants will be given an opportunity to have their portfolios reviewed and meet with admissions staff and faculty.

Workshops and presentations will be given on admissions, portfolio advising and financial aid.

Reservations must be made no later than Thursday at (949) 376-6000, ext. 258.

The college is at 2222 Laguna Canyon Road. Free parking is available.

El Morro PTA seeks event sponsors

The El Morro Elementary PTA needs businesses and individuals to make tax-deductible donations to sponsor the El Morro 2006 Jogathon scheduled for Friday, March 24.

Event sponsors will receive benefits and local publicity according to sponsorship levels.

Money raised at the Jogathon goes toward programs such as Colonial Days, Fourth- and Fifth-Grade Science Aide, Reading is Fundamental, Math Challenge and Intervention Programs, Class Act, Art Masters, and Enrichment Assemblies.

Deadline to respond has been extended to Feb. 27.
