AYSO Region 86 registration date set

Laguna Beach AYSO Region 86 soccer will hold registration for its 2006 fall season Saturday, April 8, at Thurston Middle School.

Registration will be taken between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the school. The cost for the early bird registration session is $110 for the first child, $105 for the second and $100 for the third.

A player registered for the first time in Region 86 is required to provide a copy of their birth certificate.

Local tennis teams looking to fill roster

Laguna Beach Breakers Junior Team Tennis is seeking boys and girls to compete on its 12-and-under and 14-and-under division teams during the spring season. A player can be as young as 8 to compete in the 12-and-under division. The spring season begins this month.

Junior Team Tennis is a co-ed league featuring singles and doubles play against teams of similar abilities throughout south Orange County.

Pop Warner Football accepting registration

South Coast Pop Warner Football and Cheer currently is accepting registration for its 2006 season.

The program, open to youth ages 5-15, is also accepting applications for football head and assistant coaches. Prospective coaches need not have a child participating in the league.

South Coast Pop Warner Football is listed among the top 10-ranked programs in the state and is an official Positive Coaching Alliance Local Partner.
