Community Animal Network’s call log indicates that busy moms with babies sometimes don’t have enough time to care for the family pet.

The Newport Beach owners of Par and Boomer, two Shih Tzus, would agree that their dogs are not receiving enough attention.

Many individuals desire the company of a pet but haven’t considered that animals left alone can begin to exhibit behavior problems, such as barking or destroying property. Before you purchase that cute and cuddly thing in the window, remember that any animal needs to be given time and love.

Black-and-white Par was born in 2004. Boomer ? black, white and brown ? was born in 2003. Our first choice would be to keep the pair together.

The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal organization linking people and pets through community action. The network has no kennel and is able to help animals only when people become involved and provide temporary homes until permanent homes can be found. All veterinary services and food expenses are paid for by the network until the animals are adopted.
