Van’t Hof, Davis earn title

Newport Beach resident Kaes Van’t Hof and Costa Mesa resident Scott Davis won the men’s open doubles title of the 45th Roy Emerson Adoption Guild tennis tournament on Sunday at Newport Beach Tennis Club.

Van’t Hof and Davis defeated former Corona del Mar High and UC Irvine standout Brian Morton and his partner, Rick Leach, who is a member of the Palisades Tennis Club, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.

In women’s open doubles, Jonni Seymour and UC Irvine sophomore Inna Agabadian defeated McCall Jones and Corona del Mar resident Cierra Gaytan-Leach, 7-6, 6-4.

The men’s open singles title was won by Brian Juinio, who defeated Oren Motevassel, 6-2, 6-4, in the final.

Kim-Anh Nguyen defeated Jones, 6-2, 6-1, to claim the women’s open singles crown.

The open mixed doubles title went to Nguyen and Rick Leach, who defeated Karen Bozeman and William Casas, 6-1, 6-1.
