OCC boating sale set to begin June 24

If you’re looking to pick up that extra speedboat, dinghy or piece of marine hardware, head to the Orange Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship’s boating auction June 24.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Coast Community College District offices, across the street from Orange Coast College, 1370 Adams Ave. in Costa Mesa.

The items for sale have been donated to the sailing program, but the school cannot use them. All proceeds from the sale and auction will go toward programs at the sailing school.

A sale of marine gear, including sails and other equipment, will start at 8 a.m. The live auction, which will include power boats and cars, will begin at 9 a.m.

There are no minimum bids in the live auction, all sales are final, and any boat purchased must be removed within 72 hours of the auction.
