All-Star tourney begins Saturday
The first step toward Williamsport, Pa., site of the Little League World Series, begins Saturday for Little League teams that comprise District 62 with the opening day of play in the 2006 All-Star Tournament.
Costa Mesa American, Costa Mesa National, Fountain Valley, Huntington Valley, Ocean View, Robinwood, Seaview and Westminster will send All-Star teams into the doubleelimination tournament that ends with championship games on July 13.
Action in Majors, 9/10 and 10/11 divisions, and Junior League, will take place at the Little League fields of Fountain Valley (Mile Square Park), Seaview (LeBard Park) and Westminster.
The winners of each division advance to Section tournament play.
