Summer festivals begin in Laguna

Love the art, hate the traffic.

The “big three” art festivals ? Festival of Arts, Sawdust Art Festival and Art-A-Fair ? open this weekend, followed next weekend by the Pageant of the Masters, bringing hordes of visitors to Laguna Beach. City residents and workers looking to outfox the summer swarms have a bevy of options at their disposal.

In addition to its normal bus service, the city offers summer shuttles from June 30 to Sept. 3, a free ride-to-work program and discount taxi vouchers.

And for the brave, there’s always an old standby: parking meters and lots.
