LETTER TO THE EDITOR

As a long-time Tom Johnson admirer, I was disappointed to see his column advocating the elimination of KOCE. This local PBS station has been a valuable resource to the viewers of Orange County. With the opportunity for continuing program expansion, the opportunities are immeasurable. We will be able to increase our connections to Orange County culture, arts, science, business, politics and philanthropy. We are developing important partnerships and visual linkages to local classroom instruction and teacher training using the latest interactive technology. Relying on outsiders to deliver our message is inappropriate and degrading for a county that has so much to offer.
