Shooters ride early onslaught

The Shooters blazed the net for seven goals in the opening period of play in their Adams Division match against the Rangers and went on to post a 7-2 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Bailey Lowe scored three goals and Danielle Oliver two during the early onslaught, with single goals being scored by Andrew Clark and Christopher Bos-teruya.

Bos-teruya and Nathan Withey each had an assist.

Cody Bos-teruya recorded six saves.

Cole Geller and Shane Sandoval scored goals for the Rangers.

Wing Nuts 7, Comets 6

Logan Sutton, Jackson Wozniak and Cayden Carthey scored goals in the final period as the Wing Nuts rallied past the Comets.

Sutton and Carthey each finished with three goals. Nicholas Upstill had a pair of saves and Jared Nelson had one assist.

John Elliot finished with 27 saves.

Kyle Callanan turned in a big offensive performance by scoring five of the Comets’ six goals. The other goal went to Dylan Reightley who also had an assist.

Corey Childers also had 27 saves.

Dirt Team 4, Sharks 1

The Dirt Team took a 3-0 lead into the final period and went on to defeat the Sharks.

John Henry Huffman and Nicholas Pash each scored twice for the Dirt Team and Ismael Ralsten had 12 saves.
