    NIKE GET FIT GIRL

    This is an opportunity to take part in a guided 3-mile walk or run. Men, women, children, walkers and runners are all welcome. Warm-up and stretching starts at 9 a.m.; the run and walk begins after that.

    The Nike store will provide water, snacks and a workout journal, and hold a monthly raffle. Please RSVP for an accurate head count.

    INTERFAITH CHINA TRIP

    There are still spaces available on the Newport-Mesa-Irvine Interfaith Council trip to China. Trip is Nov. 2-10. Many cities and sights will be seen, and there will be plenty of time for shopping and exploring.     TO AUG. 12 TEEN THEATER WORKSHOP

    Enrollment is now open for South Coast Repertory’s Summer Theatre Workshop, a two-week introduction to theater for kids in third through 12th grades. Classes are divided into grades three through six, grades seven through eight, and grades nine through 12. Students choose from classes held from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Tuition for the two-week session is $275 ($30 discount for each sibling). Call: (714) 708-5577

    JAZZ FESTIVAL

    The Orange County Classic Jazz Festival will feature 16 bands playing the great music of early and mid-20th century American jazz.     THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE

    A new dramatization of the C.S. Lewis classic with Aslan the great lion, the White Witch and four children who find themselves in Narnia. Appropriate for all ages. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Presale tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors, students and children 12 and under.     Come see, buy and learn what beads and gemstones are all about. Guests can make their own beads and jewelry, win hourly door prizes and watch bead-making demonstrations.
