    INTERFAITH CHINA TRIP

    SOUTH COAST REPERTORY PLAY

    Young audiences will enjoy performances of “East of the Sun and West of the Moon” at 1 and 4 p.m. both days. The play features 19 actors, ages 10-16, and is a lyrical adaptation of a Norwegian folk tale about a young girl who must search the world for a way to save her beloved prince, who is bewitched.     SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

    Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band. Hit songs include “Yumbambe” and “Papa Gato.”

    Every Wednesday under the sun, moon and stars, enjoy the summer concert series beginning at 7 p.m. in Bloomingdale’s Courtyard. Concerts are free to the public. Seating cannot be reserved with personal items. Alcohol is not permitted outside of the preferred seating area.     PIRATE’S COVE STORYTIME

    The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will host a morning of aquatic fun for kids ages 2 to 4 and their parents from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Kids will discover undersea life through crafts, books, songs and dancing.     SECRETS TO SUCCESS OF LEARS

    Shanda Lear-Baylor, daughter of Moya and Bill Lear, will give a one-hour entertaining presentation about the problem-solving techniques of her parents, who were a powerful couple in American aviation history.
